Vectors are quantities with both magnitude and direction. Scalar is a quantity with only magnitude. Direction of vectors is given by true bearing or quadrant bearing. Equivalent vectors have same magnitude and direction; they can be in different position. Unit vector has magnitude of one. Opposite vectors are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction.
